🎻 Cello Size Guide – Find the Right Fit
Choosing the right cello size is essential for good posture, comfortable playing, and proper technique. Use this chart to find the best size based on a student’s age, height, or arm length.

📏 How to Measure:
Measure the student’s arm length (shoulder to fingertips) or their height. Either measurement can help determine the right cello size.

1/4 18″–20″ (46–51 cm) 3’8″–4’3″ (112–130 cm) 5–7 years
1/2 20″–22″ (51–56 cm) 4’–4’6″ (122–137 cm) 7–9 years

4/4 (Full) 24″+ (61+ cm) 5’+ (152+ cm) 12+ years

💡 Tip:
If a student is between sizes, it’s usually better to size down. A slightly smaller cello allows for better control and ease of playing, especially for younger students.
