🌟 Teacher of the Month- Tevante
At Irvine Academy of Music, we’re proud to have teachers who are not only talented musicians but also passionate mentors for our students. One of those incredible instructors is Tevante!
Tevante is a multi-talented musician and educator who teaches a wide range of instruments including trumpet, saxophone, advanced piano, trombone, clarinet, flute, and french horn. On top of that, he even teaches chess, helping students develop both their musical and critical thinking skills.
His passion for teaching and music is truly inspiring. Tevante dreams of one day owning his own music school, and every lesson he teaches brings him one step closer to that goal. We’re grateful to have such a dedicated and talented instructor guiding our students.
👏 We’re lucky to have you on the team, Tevante!
If you’re looking for a teacher who can inspire, challenge, and motivate students, come experience a lesson with one of our amazing instructors at Irvine Academy of Music.
⭐ Student of the Month – Grayson Shen
We are excited to celebrate Grayson as our Student of the Month at Irvine Academy of Music! 🎷
Grayson began his musical journey when he started playing the saxophone at 11 years old during 5th grade. Since then, he has shown wonderful dedication to improving his skills.
He practices three to four times a week, spending about 45 minutes each session working on his music and continuing to grow as a musician. His commitment and positive attitude make him a great example for other students.
When Grayson is not practicing saxophone, he enjoys playing piano and basketball in his free time. 🎹🏀
We are proud of the hard work and enthusiasm he brings to every lesson. Keep up the great work, Grayson! 👏
🎶 Congratulations on being our Student of the Month! 🎶
🎵 Music Tip of the Month
Practice Smart, Not Just Long
If you only remember one thing this month, let it be this:
Focused practice beats long practice.
Many students practice longer but not better. A short, focused session can do more for progress than an hour of distracted playing.
Try the “15-Minute Focus Method”
Warm up for 2–3 minutes
Pick one tricky spot in your song
Play it slowly and correctly
Repeat it 5–10 times
End with something fun you already know
Even doing this 4–5 days per week can create noticeable improvement in a short time.
🎶 Music Trivia of March

C) Guitar
D) Piano
