👩🏫 Teacher of the Month: Zoe
This month, we are excited to recognize Zoe as our Teacher of the Month! 🎉
Zoe is a talented instructor who teaches Violin, Viola, Cello, and Piano at Irvine Academy of Music. Her patience, reliability, and encouraging teaching style have helped her build wonderful connections with her students and create a positive learning environment where students feel supported and motivated.
Zoe teaches Violin, Viola, Cello, and Piano and is known for her patience, reliability, and encouraging teaching style.
She began playing violin in 4th grade and quickly developed a lifelong love for music. Inspired by the teachers who supported her, Zoe now enjoys helping her own students build confidence, overcome challenges, and make meaningful progress each week.
Outside of teaching, Zoe loves theater and dreams of performing in a touring musical or opera pit orchestra. Playing at Carnegie Hall is also on her bucket list! 🎭🎻

🎻 Student of the Month: Hope
We are delighted to recognize Hope as our Student of the Month!
Hope has shown wonderful dedication to learning the violin. She consistently arrives at her lessons well prepared, enthusiastic, and ready to learn. Her positive attitude and commitment to improving make her a joy to teach and a wonderful example for other students.

Use the Three-Times Rule
When a student is learning a difficult section, repeating it many times without focus can become frustrating.
Instead, try the Three-Times Rule:
🎵 Play the section slowly
✅ Repeat it correctly three times
⏸️ Take a short break
🚀 Try it again at a slightly faster speed
If a mistake happens, slow down and restart the count.
This approach helps students practice with greater focus while building accuracy, confidence, and stronger muscle memory.
Remember: Slow and correct practice leads to faster progress.

The word “August” comes from Augustus Caesar, but in the world of music, August is often a busy month for musicians preparing for a new season of school bands, orchestras, choirs, recitals, and performances. 🎺🎻🎤
