Step into the fascinating world of Chinese Chess (Xiangqi)! This engaging course introduces young learners to the strategic and dynamic game of Xiangqi, a beloved traditional board game played for centuries in China. Through a mix of theoretical instruction and hands-on play, students will develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and strategic planning skills while mastering the unique movements and tactics of Xiangqi pieces, such as Cannon (Pao), Elephant (Xiang), and Advisor (Shi).

Course Objectives – Chinese Chess (Xiangqi) ♟️

✅ Master the Basics – Learn the fundamental rules of Chinese Chess (Xiangqi), including piece movements, board setup, and special rules such as the River Boundary and Palace Restrictions.

✅ Develop Strategic Thinking – Understand how to plan multiple moves ahead, control key positions, and anticipate your opponent’s strategies using offensive and defensive formations.

✅ Enhance Tactical Skills – Improve gameplay by mastering essential Xiangqi tactics such as Cannons for discovered attacks, Horse traps, General face-offs, and Elephant Eyes strategies.

✅ Improve Problem-Solving Abilities – Apply logical reasoning to analyze endgame puzzles, create checkmate patterns, and navigate complex positions with precision.

✅ Build Confidence and Sportsmanship – Learn to compete with patience and respect, handle both victories and defeats gracefully, and appreciate the strategic depth of Chinese Chess.
