LESSON POLICY AGREEMENT

Lesson Policy Agreement – Irvine Academy of Music.

Before enrolling, carefully review these policies to ensure a smooth learning experience.

Commitment to Quality

Here at Irvine Academy of Music, our passion is providing exceptional music education. To achieve this, we actively recruit and retain highly-qualified instructors. Maintaining this high standard requires us to value both their time and your commitment to lessons.

Key Points to Consider:

  • Lesson Duration: Lessons typically run for 30 minutes, although we can accommodate different lengths if needed. Moving on to your monthly commitment, please note that lessons are on a month-to-month basis. Upon enrolling, you are required to complete the current month, with no refunds available. Finally, to discontinue lessons, written notice must be submitted before the 15th of the month.

Registration and Payment:

  • Registration Fee: There’s a one-time, non-refundable $35 registration fee to get you started. Additionally, if you decide to resume lessons after discontinuing them, another registration fee will be due.
  • Tuition Payment: To ensure a smooth learning experience, monthly tuition is automatically debited on the 25th of each month for the following month. However, please be aware that late payments will result in lesson suspension.
  • Late Fee: To avoid any disruptions, timely payments are appreciated. In the event that a payment is received after the 1st of the month, a $10 late fee will be applied. It’s important to note that late payments will also void any family discounts you may be eligible for.

Cancellation and Missed Lessons:

  • To ensure fairness: We kindly ask that you provide at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel a lesson. In this case, you’ll be eligible for a make-up lesson within the next 30 days (limited to one per month). It’s important to note that no refunds will be issued for missed lessons.
  • Unexpected Circumstances: We understand that life happens, and even unexpected illness without a 24-hour notice will result in a missed lesson.
  • Holidays: In the event your lesson falls on one of our closed holidays, we’ll reschedule it as a make-up session. However, no credit will be provided for the originally scheduled lesson.

Additional Policies:

  • Attendance and Engagement: Lessons may be terminated due to irregular attendance, incomplete assignments, or disruptive conduct. In order to ensure a productive learning environment for all students, consistent attendance and active participation are expected. Teacher Change: If you’d prefer a different instructor, simply request a teacher change at the front desk. We’re committed to finding the perfect fit for your musical journey. Lesson Schedule: Lessons are consecutively scheduled. To ensure a smooth transition between students, please arrive five minutes early. Unfortunately, late arrivals will not extend lesson time.
  • Group Sessions: Please note that no make-up lessons are provided for missed group sessions. Due to the collaborative nature of group classes, attendance is crucial for your own progress and that of your fellow musicians.
  • Non-Solicitation: To avoid any potential conflicts with our instructors’ contracts, we ask that you agree not to seek private instruction outside of Irvine Academy of Music Studios.
  • Electronic Payment: For your convenience, we offer automatic monthly deductions on the 25th via electronic debit. By designating your account, you authorize these deductions. Please be aware that returned payments will incur a $25 NSF fee.
